I am glad there r people out there that help with the neglected horses. I use to do the same. Some people thought I just bought and sold horses for the money, but I did it cuz I enjoy horses, and ya I would buy them then sell them, but I fed them up, broke them out and sold them to people that liked trail riding and 4-H.

Thank You All!!!

My friends call me Roz. I recently retired as president of the SPCA of Polk Co,after 7.5yrs. The timing was right for me to move into another area ofhumane work. I recognized over the years the great need for more horse rescue and rehab. Recently, cases have increased here in our county. I've worked closely with the sheriff's office and J.P.'s as the only trained member of our SPCA in cruelty investigations, both dogs/cats and horses. We have made great headway but the short-fall is inadequate resourses to house and rehab.
This is the biggest factor in lack of action in the S.O. office. Where do the horses go if seized permanently if not the slaughter house. I've put a great deal of energy into forming 'horse supporters' but not near enough. I've managed to place all the ones going through the court except those too far gone and had to be euthanized. This brings me to your organization and reason for contacting you.. I have a benefactor that would like to donate acreage with barn and out bldgs., fenced, etc. to a 501C3 horse rescue organization. I would like to visit with you your facility, and/or come to one of your meetings. The mutual goal is how we can work together and establish an extension of your organization here in Polk county. The ground work has been done. If you are interested in exploring the possibilities, please contact me at: ho-936 365 2511...cell 713 502 0709
or my email.
Thank you for your time and look forward to hearing from you.

Roz

I continue to enjoy the type of work you are doing, Renee Ilsee from Full Circle Equestrain (luling) hooked me up with your website. At this time, I would like to offer my truck and stock trailer with driver, if needed to transport. I also have a 60x40 dog proof pen that could be used for holding in case an animal needed to be stablized before shipping to your place. Please contact me if needed

I think what you are doing is one of the greatest things. I am a horse lover and looking for a riding horse that I may possibly adopt. I was givin your name by True Blue Animal Rescue. Not sure where you are located exactly, but will find you. Thanks
Patty

Anyone wanting to work with Crossed Saber Stables out of West Virginia really needs to look deeply into the "executor" and her background. Not what you read is true and she lies to anyone and everyone about what she does and how she got to where she is....trust me on this, just research this before you make any decisions about this organization - if you can call it that.

Arabian Horse Foundation Names New Advisory Panel
The Arabian Horse Foundation has appointed three nationally known advocates of horse relocation and re-homing to serve as advisors to the Foundation for the Horse Displacement and Re-homing gift category. Carol Darnell of Oklahoma, Jennifer Williams, Ph.D., of Texas, and Brenda Laurel, also from Texas, all have a history in the Arabian horse community as active owners and supporters of the breed.

Carol Darnell is President of the Guardian Arabian Horse Club. Darnell serves on the Board of Directors of True Innocents Equine Rescue, a 501(c) 3 based in California. Dr. Williams founded Lone Star Equine Rescue in 1998 and in 2005 co-founded Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society where she serves as President and Executive Director.
