Personality & Manners
- Extremely sweet, gentle, and well-mannered.
- Very little stud behavior — gelded before being donated.
- Respectful of fences — unusually polite for a mini.
- Lives with geldings and does fine, though he isn’t the most popular guy in the group.
- Protective of his herd mates and will run off dogs if given the chance.
- Has been around kids and does well with them.
- Slightly pushy at times (mini behavior), so supervision is recommended.
- Sweet, willing, and enjoys attention.
Training & Abilities
- Sometimes takes a few minutes to catch in the pasture, but easy to halter once caught.
- Prefers to take his time when being led.
- Stands tied for grooming, hair braiding, baths (still learning), fly spray (improving), and farrier.
- Picks up all four feet very well.
- Loads into a trailer when led inside — will even hop up without needing a ramp.
- Used to a stock trailer.
- Lunges in a round pen at walk, trot, and canter in both directions.
- Lunges on a lunge line at walk and trot in both directions.
- Introduced to obstacles, trails, and other arenas.
- Working on backing.
- Accepts bridle and surcingle with no issues.
- Handled distractions, saddling, and general chaos with ease.
- Learning to line drive.
- Continues to improve with baths and fly spray.
Care Needs & Behavior
Why This Horse is Amazing
Brookie is an exceptionally sweet, well‑mannered mini gelding with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He’s respectful, gentle, and patient — the kind of mini who stands quietly for grooming, lets kids braid his mane, and tries hard to understand what’s being asked of him.

He loads easily, lunges well, accepts tack, and has begun ground‑driving work. He handles obstacles, distractions, and busy environments with surprising maturity. While he can be a little pushy at times (typical mini behavior), he responds well to supervision and clear boundaries.

For someone wanting a sweet, trainable, family‑friendly mini with great manners and a solid foundation, Brookie is a wonderful choice.
